Natural Home Remedies for Toothache

1. Cloves

Cloves has an anti inflammatory ,anti bacterial, anesthetic properties which helps in alleviate tooth pain and fight infection.

Crush 2 cloves and mix with olive oil to make a paste.Apply this paste on the affected areas and let it for few minutes .Repeat the process 2-3 times in a day.

or

Take few drops of the clove oil on the affected areas and rub it for few minutes .Repeat the process several times in a day.

2. Garlic

Garlic has an antibiotic property which gives relief and reduce pain.

Mix garlic powder with common salt and apply on the affected areas and let it for few minutes and rinse with water.Repeat the process several times in a day.

or

Chew 1-2 slices of garlic to reduce pain.

3. Pepper and salt

Pepper and salt has an analgesic , anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties.

Mix pepper and salt with water to make a paste and apply on the affected areas and rinse with water by gargling.Repeat the process several times in a day.

4. Asafoetida

Asafoetida has an anti inflammatory property which helps in reducing pain and bleeding gums.

Mix a pinch of asafoetida with lemon juice and then warm slightly.Use a cotton pad to apply it on the affected areas.

Asafoetida fried in clarified butter can be put in the tooth cavity for instant relief.

or

Rub a pinch of the asafoetida on the affected areas to get relief from tooth ache.

5. Warm salt water

Warm salty water reduces swelling ,pain.

Take a tsp of the salt in a cup of warm water and gargle.

6. Vanilla extract

Vanilla has a calming effects as it helps numb the pain.

Dip cotton balls in the vanilla extract and apply on the affected areas  for few minutes and repeat the process for several times in a day.

7. Hydrogen peroxide solution

Hydrogen peroxide has an anti bacterial property it kills bacteria causing infection .

Add 2 tsp of the hydrogen peroxide solution in a 100 ml of water.Now rinse your mouth with this solution it will give instant relief.Wash your mouth with plain water several times after using this solution.

8. Peppermint leaves

Rub few fresh peppermint leaves on the affected areas ,let it for few minutes and wash it with water.

9. Ice cubes

Ice cubes can help in reducing the pain by numbing the nerve endings.

Put small ice cubes in a thin cloth and apply on the affected areas near to cheek for few minutes.Repeat the process several times in a day.

10. Onion

Onion has an anti bacterial  and anti septic property which kills bacteria causing infection .

Chew a slice of raw onion to get relief.

Extract the juice from onion and apply on the affected  areas and let it be for few minutes and rinse your mouth with water.
