Summer are now at our door so everyone want to enjoy their time, but at time sunburn is a great problem. Sun burn is caused by the ultraviolet rays of sun. Too much exposure will damage your skin make it red and painful.

Natural Home Remedies for Sunburn 

1 Baking soda

Baking soda has an antiseptic properties that will give relief from itching sensation.

How to use it

Mix 4 tbsp of baking powder in water to make a smooth paste .

Apply this paste on the skin which is affected by sunburn ,leave for 30 minutes and then wash with water.

Repeat this procedure twice in a day till symptoms of sun burn goes away.

or

Fill your bathtub with water and add baking soda in it .

Be in bathtub for 30 minutes and then get out from this tab and take a bath.

Repeat procedure once in a day till the symptoms of sunburn goes.

2 Cool compresses

Cool compresses helps in reducing inflammation associated with sunburn.

How to use it

Take a cloth and put some ice cubes in it.

Now put that cloth on the affected areas as long as it is cool.

Repeat the procedure several times in a day.

3 Aloe vera

Aloe vera helps in giving soothing effect on the affected areas of sunburn.

How to use it

Extract the gel from the aloe vera leaves and put in the refrigerator for an hour.

Apply this refrigerated gel on the affected areas and leave it for dry .

Repeat the procedure for 4 times in a day for several days.

4 Black tea

Tea has tannin that helps in protecting the skin from ultraviolet radiation damage and reduce inflammation.

How to use it

Boil water and put black tea or 2-3 tea bags and allow it to sit for few minutes.

Sieve it and let the liquid cool to room temperature.

Take a thin cloth and soak in the solution and put on the affected areas.

Repeat the procedure 3-4 times in a day.

5 Vinegar

Vinegar helps in speeding up the healing process, it also ease itching and inflammation.

How to use it

Pour warm water in the bath tub  and add a cup of vinegar in it.

Soak yourself in this water for about half an hour.

or

Mix equal amount of vinegar and water, soak a cloth in this solution.

Put this cloth on the affected areas of sunburn and let it be dry.

Repeat the procedure once in a day till the condition improves.

6 Potatoes

Potatoes contain starch which helps in drawing out heat from your skin.

How to use it

Take potatoes and cut into pieces,now blend them in a blender to make a paste.

Apply this paste on your skin and leave it to dry.

After that take a cool shower and repeat the procedure for few days your symptoms will gone.

7 Milk

Milk gives comfort from various symptoms of sunburn due to its property of anti inflammatory soothing effect on the skin.

How to use it

Take few ice cubes in a cup and add milk and water in it.

Take a clean thin cloth and dip in the above solution and apply on the sunburn areas for at least half an hour .

After that gently pat dry your skin with towel.

Repeat procedure 4-5 times in a day and you will find clean skin.
