Natural Home Remedies for Headaches
Ginger helps in reducing inflammation of the blood vessels in the head, it also helps in reducing the nausea feeling during headache.
Grind the ginger to make a paste and 2 tbsp of water.Apply this paste on the forehead for few minutes it will give instant relief.
Mix ginger juice and lemon juice in equal ratio and drink it daily once or twice in a day.
Grind ginger to make it in powder form and add it in a boiling water ,now inhale this water to get relief.
Chew ginger slice .
2 Peppermint oil
Peppermint oil contain menthol which helps in opening clogged blood vessels that promote flow of blood in the body to reduce headache.Fresh smelling oil has vaso-dilating and vaso- constricting property.
Mix 3 drops of peppermint oil with 1 tsp of olive oil or almond oil or water.Massage gently on the forehead ,neck, back.
Add 3 drops of peppermint oil in a boiling water and inhale the vapors to get instant relief.
Add 1 tsp of dried peppermint leaves in a cup of boiling water and cover it for 10 minutes .Strain it and add honey to it,drink it once or twice times in a day.
3 Lavender oil
Lavender oil id help in reducing the symptoms of headache.This oil is used topically or inhale but cannot be taken orally.
Pour few drops of lavender oil on tissue and inhale it.
Put 3-4 drops of the oil in a boiling water and inhale it to get instant relief.
4 Basil oil
Basil oil helps muscle relaxant,it has analgesic and calming effects.Due to its property of analgesic it helps in reducing the headache and tighten muscles.
Put 3-4 basil leave sin a cup of boiling water and add honey to taste.Drink it daily.
Pour oil in a boiling water and inhale it to get rid of headache.
Chew some basil leaves to reduce the headache or apply basil on the fore head also.
5 Deep scalp massage
Deep massage of your scalp and feet will give relaxation to you.Massage can be with the oil or just by the hand.Massage with stretching will helpful to you including head ,neck,back and shoulder.During massaging few points get press which will give relief to you.
6 Flax seed
Headache caused by the inflammation can be reduce by taking flaxseeds because it contains omega 3 fatty acids.
Take 1-2 tsp of crushed flax seeds with or with out water.
Flax seeds oil can be used topically or taken orally.
7 Intake of vitamin B 2 and magnesium
Deficiency of vitamin B 2 and magnesium will cause headache.
Foods which are rich in magnesium Pumpkin seeds,dried figs,dark chocolate and mackerel .
Foods which are rich in vitamin B 2 almonds ,sesame seeds ,fish and cheese.
